William J. Beauchaine, Jr., 77, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Monday, June 25, 2018, with his loving and devoted wife and daughters by his side. He was the beloved husband of Joan (Zelonis) Beauchaine for 57 years.
Bill was born December 13, 1940, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late William J. Beauchaine, Sr. and Mary (Pennington) Beauchaine. He was employed by the Metropolitan District Commission as a Foreman at the Water Filtration Plant in West Hartford for over 30 years, until his retirement. Bill had an eye for antiques, and spent many weekends at Wrights Barn with a smile on his face and unique items in his booth. His two grandsons were the highlights of his life, and, when he wasn’t at Wrights, he was cheering for them at their many sporting activities.
In addition to his wife Joan, he is survived by two daughters, Bridget A. Beauchaine and Jacqueline Beauchaine; two grandsons, Raymond and William Cswerko; a sister, Maureen Rochette, and an Uncle Frank Pennington, all of Torrington. He also leaves behind his granddog "Abe", who he always had a cookie for.
