Wayne A. Rae, Jr.

Wayne A. Rae, Jr., 45, of Waterbury, CT, passed away January 30, 2022, at St. Mary’s Hospital.  He was the husband of Loreville (Francia) Rae.

Wayne was born September 22, 1976, in Torrington, CT, the son of the Mary (Torlai) Rae and of the late Wayne Rae, Sr.  He was self-employed.  He enjoyed scuba diving, beaches, swimming, attending concerts, cooking for his family, and hosting holidays and BBQ’s by the pool.

In addition to his wife Loreville and his mother Mary, he is survived by one son, Michael Rae of Naugatuck, CT and one brother, Jesse Rae of Torrington, CT;  two uncles, James Torlai, David Torlai and his wife Jane; one aunt, Debra Torlai,  as well as cousins, Stephen, Jackie and Katie Torlai.  He was preceded in death by a step-father, Edwin Drew, Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2022, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.   Burial will be private.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
