Vicky (Bucher) Nietch

Vicky (Bucher) Nietch, 67, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Sunday, April 3, 2016, at Hartford Hospital surrounded by her loving family.  She was the beloved wife of John Nietch for 43 years.

Vicky was born October 20, 1948, in South Bend, Indiana, daughter of Geneta (Craft) Bucher of South Bend, Indiana, and of the late Lloyd Bucher.  She was retired from Stop & Shop.  An avid flower and vegetable gardener, she also enjoyed sewing and reading.

In addition to husband John, and her mother Geneta, she is survived by two sons, David Nietch of Torrington, Michael Nietch and his wife Nicholee of Fort Worth, TX; one daughter, Laura Nietch and Todd Schaller of Torrington, CT; one sister, Wendy Udell of South Bend, Indiana; six grandchildren, Brayden, Brylie, Trevor, Aila, Tobin, Alexia, as well as several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, April 7, 2016, at 11:30 a.m. at St. Thomas of Villanova Church, 77 North St., Goshen, CT.  Friends are asked to meet directly at St. Thomas Church.  Burial will follow.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.
