Theresa H. (Pratillo) Guarnieri

Theresa Helene (Pratillo) Guarnieri, 90, of Torrington, CT, passed away Friday, November 3, 2017.  She was the beloved wife of Joseph Guarnieri for 65 years.

Theresa was born January 24, 1927, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Vincent and Genevieve (Romeo) Pratillo.   A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was a lifelong communicant of St. Peter Church, and was a member of the Holy Rosary Society.  She was an enthusiastic member of the singing groups Amici Sempre and Sullivan Senior Center Silver Belles and Beaux for many years.  In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughters, Doreen (Guarnieri) O'Brien and Lisa Guarnieri, both of Torrington.   She is also survived by five grandchildren:  Dia O’Brien, Larisa O’Brien, Michael O’Brien, James Guarnieri-Cruess, and Joseph Guarnieri-Cruess, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 10, 2017, with the cortege leaving at 8:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 a.m.  Entombment will follow at St. Peter Mausoleum.  Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017, from 7:00 p.m.  to 9:00 p.m.  at Cook Funeral Home.
