Sylvia Morss Page, 88, of Torrington, CT, previously of Pittsfield, MA, died unexpectedly on April 22, 2014, at Litchfield Woods Nursing Home in Torrington, CT.

Born in New York City, NY, on March 22, 1926, she was the daughter of Charles Anthony Morss and Sylvia Eldredge Brown and the former wife of Samuel Murtland Page.

She attended Wellesley College and was active in the Juvenile Court system for many years.  She was an avid reader and animal enthusiast and donated generously to the Humane Society and many other charities.  She was a regular parishioner of St. Stephen’s Episcopal Church in Pittsfield, where she avidly proclaimed the gifts of God’s grace.

Mrs. Page is survived by her son, Samuel M. Page, Jr. and daughter-in-law Kimberly; grandsons, David and wife Tamie, Andrew and his fiancée Sara, her loving granddaughters, Caitlyn and Kelsi and her special great grandson, Jonathan.  She is also survived by her brother Charles Anthony Morss, Jr. and wife Laurie and sister Marilyn Morss MacLeod.  She was predeceased by her former husband Samuel M. Page, Sr., her nephew Charles Anthony Morss, III, and brother-in-law Herbert W. MacLeod.

God has taken you home, and although we miss you so very much, we hold in our hearts your memory and confidence that someday we shall meet again.
