Sylvia Virginia Moulton, (nee Anderson) 86, native of Jamaica, W.I., formerly of the Bronx, NY and of Torrington, CT, was called home to glory January 30, 2021. She was the beloved wife of Sydney Moulton.
Sylvia was born June 30, 1934, in Kingston, Jamaica. She was a loving mother and wonderful grandmother who leaves behind to cherish her memories, her husband, five children, ten grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, including Anthony Bogle and daughter-in-law, Kathy of Torrington, CT, Patrick Moulton of Jamaica: three daughters, Faith Mouton of Jamaica, Donna Moulton of Jamaica, Clauretta Bryant and her husband Jimmy of Hamden, CT, sisters, brothers, numerous nieces and nephews and church family. She was predeceased by three sons and four granddaughters.
Sylvia was a hard worker, very industrious and resourceful. She had a big heart, always had a kind word and loving embrace. Her physical stature and unassuming personality belie her true strength and resilience. She was always the optimist who saw the glass as half full and never half empty.
Sylvia loved the Lord and bragged about His goodness every chance she got. She would organize bible study with a group of residents every Monday and only because of COVID it was discontinued. She would prepare such delicious chicken meals for attendees.
A Memorial Services honoring Sylvia’s life will be announced at a later date. Condolences may be sent to Sylvia’s family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com
