Sylvia (Cremasco) Dickinson, 84, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Friday, December 31, 2021, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was the wife of the late Allen L. Dickinson, Sr.
Sylvia was born October 21, 1937, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Silvio and Catherine (Albreada) Cremasco. She was employed by the State of Connecticut in private care for patients.
She is survived by a son, Allen “Larry” Dickinson of Torrington, CT; a daughter, Tammy Hutchinson and her husband Tom of Windham, NH; two sisters, Elizabeth Perry of Goshen, CT, Alma Peveri of Torrington, CT; a sister-in-law, Sharon Cremasco of Torrington, as well as several nieces and nephews, and all of the new friends she made while residing at Keystone. In addition to her parents, her husband and her son Kevin John Dickinson, she was preceded in death by three brothers and six sisters.
Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis New Cemetery, Torrington. Calling hours will be held on Monday, January 10, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. with a funeral service to begin at 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. All attending calling hours are requested to wear protective face masks while inside the funeral home for COVID prevention.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Connecticut Institute for the Blind, for New Harwinton Group Home, Oak Hill, 120 Holcomb St., Hartford, CT 06112.
