Shirley (DallaValle) Meyer

Shirley (DallaValle) Meyer, 87, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Monday, January 15, 2018, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital with her family by her side. She was the beloved wife of the late Harold “Duke” Meyer.
Shirley was born June 10, 1930, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late John and Mary (Suthowski) DallaValle.
She is survived by two sons, Keith Meyer and his wife Margaret of Norfolk, CT, Gary Meyer and his wife Shawn of Torrington, CT; two step brothers, Jack DallaValle of Florida, Robert DallaValle and his wife Angie of Torrington; two sisters, Doris Geer of Colebrook, CT, Diane Schapp and her husband Charles of Torrington, CT; four grandchildren, Nicole Avery and her husband Jeremy, Ashley Meyer, Jordan Seaver and her husband Keith, Becky Lippincott and her husband Jeff; four great grandchildren, Olivia and Gavin Avery, Wiley and Violet Lippincott, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Tino.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 18, 2018, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at St. Francis of Assisi Church from 10:00 a.m., until the time of the Mass at 11:00 a.m.
