Selma T. Boscarino

Selma T. (Solomon) Boscarino, 96, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Angelo "Cuddy" Boscarino.

Selma was born January 17, 1928, in West Hartford, CT, the daughter of the late David and Nemenom “Nelli” (Nossiff) Solomon. She was employed by Star’s Department Store and S&H Green Stamps as a clerk. After her retirement, she was a loyal volunteer at Lourdes Shrine in Litchfield, where she assisted in the kitchen as well as helped to organize the first tag sale. A loving wife and mother, her family was her entire life.

She is survived by four sons, David Boscarino (Mary) of Torrington, CT, Fred Boscarino (Amparo) of Bishop, GA, Jim Boscarino (Peggy) of Torrington, CT, Ralph Boscarino (Diane) of Torrington, CT; seven grandchildren, Michael (Megan), Rusty (Michelle), Heather (Brian), Anthony, Dominic, Robert (Gerri), Joseph; five great grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, July 13, 2024, at 9:00 a.m. at Lourdes in Litchfield, 83 Montfort Rd., Litchfield, CT 06759. Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at Lourdes in Litchfield. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery, Torrington. Calling hours will be held on Friday, July 12, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT.
