Rosemarie D. (Burdick) Lagueux

Rosemarie D. (Burdick) Lagueux, 78, of Torrington, CT, passed away on Thursday, April 16, 2015, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Benoit Lagueux, Sr. who preceded her in death on February 10, 2015.

Rose was born August 3, 1936, in Florida, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Charles W. and Gertrude (Dickinson) Burdick.  In 1977, she, along with her husband, established their business, A Line Custom Countertops, where they retired from in 2008.  She was a member of the Planning and Zoning Board in Winsted, and was always interested in national and local politics.  She loved a good debate.

She is survived by four daughters, Marsha Booth of Rhome, TX, Bonnie McCloud of Lisbon, NH, Patricia Meacham of Jamestown, NY, Teresa Stetson- Scanlon of Edgewater, MD; stepchildren, Brenda Holmes of Canterbury, CT, Lisa Scribner and Benoit G. Lagueux, Jr. both of Chesapeake, VA; grandchildren, Justin Howes, Bart Howes, Jamie Howes, Ann Marie Parrotte, Sam McCloud, Kyle Scanlon, Trevor Scanlon, Tabatha Light, Chad Holmes, Noah Holmes, Makala Holmes, Kaylee Scribner, Autumn Lagueux, Audrey Lagueux and Alana Lagueux.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, April 23, 2015, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  A funeral service will be held at the conclusion of calling hours.  Burial for both Rosemarie and Benoit Lagueux, Sr. will be held on Friday, April 24, 2015, at 11:30 a.m. at Leavitt Cemetery, Mohawk Trail, Charlemont, MA.
