Rose M. (Smith) Russo

Rose Mae (Smith) Russo, 99 passed away at Litchfield Woods Health Care Center on February 11, 2016.  Rose was born in Goshen, CT on February 29, 1916, to Lindsley and Frances (Klink) Smith. She was the wife of the late Anthony N. Russo, Sr.

She is survived by one son, Anthony N. Russo Jr. (Jacqueline) and one daughter Carmella Tromba (Thomas) both of Torrington and seven grandchildren: Mark Russo(Holly), Susan Valerie,(Donald) Todd Russo(Andrea), Cheryl Baccei(Keith), Scott Tromba(Katherine), David Tromba(Jacqueline),Greg Tromba, and three great grandchildren, Forest Russo, Eric Baccei, Michael Tromba and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three sisters, Frances Grohs, Pearl Knight and Eleanore Colburne and one brother, George Smith.

Her family would like to thank the staff at Litchfield Woods for the compassionate care given to her.

Calling hours will be 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home on Friday, February 19, 2016, prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 at St. Peter Church.  Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery.  Cook Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter Church or Two Hearts Pregnancy Center in memory of Rose.
