Ronald F. Plevyak

Ronald F. Plevyak, (“Ronnie”, “Ron”) 73, of New Hartford, CT, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022, with his wife and best friend Lynn by his side.

He was born in Carbondale, PA, September 15, 1948, and moved to Torrington, CT at six months old with his parents, the late Frank and Mary (Killian) Plevyak.

Ron worked as a machinist at Torin Corp for sixteen year and at various car dealerships in the Parts Department until his retirement.

Ron loved his home, working in the yard, cars, especially classic cars and car shows.  He was so proud of his 1973 Cougar and 1992 Ranger.  He was a true Boston Red Sox and Dallas Cowboys fan, even though it was difficult at times.

Ron leaves his wife of 48 years, Lynn, his brother Dennis Plevyak and Karen, brothers-in-law David Grosso and Terri, John Grosso and Catherine, nieces and nephews Dawn Grosso, Dan Grosso and Rebecca, Allie Grosso and fiancée Tai Maher and a grand nephew Angelo Grosso.  He also leaves his “Little Dude” Kosmo who was his best buddy.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 24, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  Burial will be private.  Relatives and friends may call on Thursday, February 24th from 9:30 a.m. until the funeral services at 11:00 a.m.
