Robert D. Pond

Robert Douglas Pond of Meadowview Drive, Torrington, CT, son of the late William B. Pond Sr. and Barbara Douglas Pond of New Hartford, Ct, passed away on December 23, 2014, due to complications with Alzheimer’s disease. “Bobby” or “Bobbo” was 53 years old. He was employed for many years with LARC Industries. Bobby’s interests included attending church, singing, dancing, family, friends, and many outdoor activities. He won many medals over the years at the Special Olympics. He touched many lives of the people who he met over the years. He always had a big heart and a wonderful personality. Bobby will be missed by all.

He is survived by his older brother, William Pond Jr. and his wife, Beth Connole Pond, of New Hartford, CT and younger sister, Deborah Pond-Reis and her husband, Timothy P. Reis, of Rochester, VT, aunts and many cousins.

A Memorial Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 342 Prospect St., Torrington, CT on Saturday, January 17, 2014, at 2:30 p.m.  Committal services will be held at Hillside Cemetery in the spring.
