Robert “Bob” Leroy Campbell, 74, of Torrington, CT. died unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2025. Bob was born July 15, 1949, in Hopewell, VA. He was a longtime resident of Torrington.
He leaves behind his brother James and sister-in-law Heidi Campbell sister and brother in law Paula & Larry Cormier; his children and sons/daughters-in-law, Regina Campbell, Jessica Campbell, Sarah & Alfred Asercion, Rachel & Justin Halkovetz, Charlotte Beaty, and Liz & Spencer Glaize; his grand-children, Jenna, Grayson, Jonah, Sydney, Jace, Chloe, Charly, David, John Peter, Liam, and Tucker; as well as many nieces, nephews and dear friends. He is welcomed into Heaven by his father Elbee, mother Eliza Pauline, former spouse Kathleen, sons Kevin & Peter Campbell.
Bob was a jack of all trades applying his skills from Black & Decker to his personal life. He lived and breathed NASCAR and took every opportunity to attend a race. He was an avid fisher honing his expertise over 50 years which is a love that he passed on to all of his children. Bob had a hankering for buffets and all-you-can-eats always getting every penny worth of his dollar.
His kind heart is part of what made him an exceptional son, brother, father, Pop Pop, and friend.
He had such a knack for storytelling whether it was embellishing on a fairytale or giving you the play-by-play of each scenario.
A private service was held January 11, 2025, and a celebration of life memorial event to be announced Summer 2025
