Rita (Bianchi) Pascola, 92, of New Hartford, CT, passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Mario J. Pascola.
Rita was born March 18, 1923, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Joseph and Antonina (Magistrali) Bianchi. She was employed by the Register Citizen as a teletype setter until her retirement. She taught CCD at St. Peter School, was a member of the St. Peter Holy Rosary Society, sang with the St. Peter Choir, and also with the Amici Italiani Singing Group, and was a communicant of St. Peter Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Rachel Ramsey and her husband Frank of New Hartford, CT, Marlene Mellon and her husband Peter of Midlothian, VA, seven grandchildren, three great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Lydia B. Michelet, Nancy Bianchi and Josephine Bianchi.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 15, 2015, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Thursday, May 14 th from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
