Rita A. (Rossi) Carta

Rita A. (Rossi) Carta, 83, of Torrington, CT, passed away Monday, March 21, 2016, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Angelo Carta for 59 years.
Rita was born April 16, 1932, in White Plains, NY, daughter of the late Alessandro and Ida (Baietti) Rossi.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, David Carta of Hillsborough, NJ, Michael Carta of Tarpon Springs, FL; one daughter, Carol Carta of Torrington, CT, as well as several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one sister, Carla Cisco.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24, 2016, at 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
