Richard "Greg" Gregory Allard

Greg passed peacefully Friday, July 26, 2019, with the love of his life “Ren”, family and Jesse (his service dog) at his side.

Born and raised in Hartford, CT, he joined the U.S. Navy at age 19 and served 6 years, doing 2 tours in Vietnam, also stationed in Albany, GA where he met his first wife Susan Evans who gave birth to his son Richard (Gregory Allard Jr.) Allen Pantone. He was also a long time resident in Winsted, CT, before moving to Port Orange, FL, in August of 2000.

He is survived by Renard Mark Gregoire, his soul mate and spouse of 38 years; his son “Ricky” Richard Allen Pantone of Lake City, FL; four grandchildren Richard Allen Jr., Derek Lamar, Desire Lynn, Jessica Marie, one great grandchild Haden Rose Pantone, his sister Janet A. Cook of St. Petersburg, FL, in-laws Joanne Allard of Newington, CT, Eileen Allard of Bloomfield, CT, Judith Pernal of Torrington, CT, Pamela Jernigan of Dawsonville, GA Richard & Janne Gregoire of Port Orange, FL, Robert & Joyce Gregoire of Avon, CT, and many nephews and nieces.

Greg was pre deceased by his parents Roselma Grace Menard and  Richard Francis Allard, siblings Charles A. of Newington, CT; Wayne R. of Bloomfield, CT; John F. of Miami, FL; and Ellen N. Fales, of Bellevue, NE, brother in-laws Jon Cook of St. Petersburg, FL, David Fales of Bellevue NE and Theodore Jernigan of Dawsonville, FL.

Greg enjoyed singing, cooking, baking, camaraderie with Veterans & friends, world travel, NY Giants, Yankees, & Dale Earnhardt Sr.

Greg was a Life Member of VFW 296 of Winsted, CT and VFW 3282, Member of American Legion 270 and Eagles 4089 all in Port Orange, FL.
