Ralph Carbone, 89, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away at St. Mary’s Hospital on Friday, February 2, 2018. He was the beloved husband of Cecilia (Mordarski) Carbone for 65 years.
Ralph was born July 20, 1928, in Torrington, CT, son of the late Anthony and Mary (Albreada) Carbone. He was honorably discharged after serving his country with the US Army during the Korea conflict. Ralph was employed as a tool and die maker for over forty years.
In addition to his beloved wife Cecilia, he is survived by two daughters, Elaine Clarke (Robert) of Goshen, CT, Rita Carbone Lawson (Edward) of Ellington, CT; one sister, Josephine Scognamiglio of Goshen, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Viola Fargo and Norma Martigneni.
The family would like the thank the staff at St. Mary’s Hospital, as well as the nurses and aids in the Vitas Unit, for their care and compassion shown to Ralph as well as to the entire family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, February 6, 2018, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, 85 Pulaski St., Torrington. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery with full military honors accorded. There are no calling hours.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that memorial contributions be made to St. John Paul the Great Parish, 160 Main St., Torrington, CT 06790 or to the Office of Radio and Television, 15 Peach Orchard Road, Prospect, CT 06712.
