Ralph W. Bisciotti, a beloved member of the Torrington community, passed away on July 13, 2024, at his residence. He was born on September 13, 1953, in Torrington, Connecticut to the late Simone and Mary (Rau) Bisciotti.
Ralph's journey began in Torrington, where he attended local schools and graduated from Torrington High School in 1971. During his high school years, Ralph's love for music blossomed, leading him to become an accomplished drummer who played in rock bands throughout the area. This passion for music stayed with him throughout his entire life, bringing joy to all who knew him.
In his professional life, Ralph was a Software Developer/Systems Analyst for an impressive 48 years. His career began at Aetna and culminated with his retirement from Cigna in 2019. His dedication and expertise in the field left a lasting impact on those around him.
Ralph is survived by his loving children: Nicholas Bisciotti of Woburn, MA; Nina Bisciotti/Jasen of Springfield, VT; Christopher Bisciotti and his wife Lisa of Kingsville Ontario, Canada; their mother Joyce Bisciotti; Tori Bisciotti of Agawam, MA; their mother Linda Bisciotti. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Domenic and Gianni Bisciotti of Kingsville, Ontario, Canada.
In addition to his immediate family, Ralph is survived by his sister Elena DeMasi and her husband Alfred. He also leaves behind several Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and two lifelong friends; Mike Borelli and Randy Carlson.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to The Cottage for the outstanding care provided to Ralph. Special thanks are also extended to Brighton Hospice and Erica Russell for their compassion during Ralph's final journey.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2024, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT. Ralph will then be laid to rest at St. Peter Cemetery in Torrington.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital as a tribute to Ralph's memory.
