Priscilla L. (Cooney) Bronson

November 1, 1946 — September 13, 2020

Harwinton, CT

Priscilla L. (Cooney) Bronson, 73, of Harwinton, CT, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2020, at her residence surrounded by her family.  She was the beloved wife of Thomas “Tim” Bronson.

Priscilla was born November 1, 1946, in Winsted, CT, the daughter of the late Edward and Sylvia (Nelson) Cooney.  She was employed by the Seitz Corporation as a Project Manager, and also by the Terryville Library as a Librarian, a job that she truly loved.  She went back to school, while raising her three children as a single mother, to earn her Bachelors Degree.  This was an accomplishment that she was very proud of.  She enjoyed reading, crafting and especially quilting.  She was a very talented quilter and received a national award for one of her original designs.  She was an avid fan of UCONN Men’s and Women’s Basketball.  Raising her children gave her great pleasure.   She taught them the importance of hard work, integrity, loyalty and grace.

In addition to her husband, Tim, she is survived by her three children, Christopher Bronson of Harwinton, CT; Candice Clukey of Torrington, CT and Corrinne Pelletier of Cheshire, CT, and her two step children, Thomas Bronson of South Carolina and Nancy Francis of West Dennis, MA, as well as ten grandchildren.

Priscilla’s family would like to extend their gratitude to Hartford Healthcare at Home staff for the kindness and compassion shown to Priscilla and to her family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a local animal shelter.

Private funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent to Priscilla’s family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com
