Phyllis M. (Francavilla) Gervais

Phyllis M. (Francavilla) Gervais, 79, of Torrington, CT, a longtime resident of Cheshire, CT, was reunited with her loving daughter, Arlene Mary when she passed on Saturday, April 22, 2017.  Phyllis was the wife of Daniel Gervais.

Phyllis was born August 7, 1937, in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Nicholas and Camille (Rinaldi) Francavilla.  She was employed by BYK-Chemie in Wallingford as a Secretary for several years, until her retirement.  She was an avid shopper, as fashion was very important to her.  She enjoyed traveling, had many friends, loved to dance and adored her four grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by two daughters, Geralyn Anagnostaras of Milford, MA, Janice Diamond and her husband Gregg of Westford, MA; two step-sons, Christopher Gervais and his wife  Emily of Harwinton, Daniel Gervais, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Torrington; four grandchildren, Sara, Nicholas, Alex and Nicole, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her daughter, Arlene Fazzi.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at St. Francis Church.  Burial will be private.  Calling hours will be held on Friday, April 28, 2017, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  Condolences may be sent to Phyllis’ family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com
