Nicola Albini

Nicola Albini, 100, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away Thursday, December 22, 2022 with his daughter by his side. He was the husband of the late Caterina (Perugini) Albini.

Nicola was born July 20, 1922, in Pontelandolfo, Italy and was the son of the late Michele and Elisa (Cifaldi) Albini. He was employed by The Torrington Company and also worked at various other factories, until his retirement. He was a member of the Pontelandolfo Community Club.  He loved spending time with friends and family and in the summer, he enjoyed working in his vegetable garden.

He is survived by one daughter, Elisa Albini Calabrese and her husband Giovanni of Torrington, CT; two grandsons, Nicholas Calabrese and his girlfriend Deborah Keyes, Mark Calabrese and his wife Tina; two great grandchildren, Lorenzo and Caterina, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, 2022, with the cortege leaving at 12:30 p.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 1:00 p.m.  Entombment will immediately follow at St. Francis Mausoleum.  Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
