Mildred (Rivers) Skutt, 93, of Torrington, entered peacefully into eternal life November 1, 2018, with her daughters at her side. Mildred was born on June 16, 1925, to the late Charles and Henrietta (Miller) Rivers of Massachusetts. She was employed by Wolcott Hall as a CNA for 21+ years, she was awarded the "Best CNA of the year" by her company circa 1990. Mildred enjoyed crocheting, knitting, arts and crafts, bingo, and managing the coffee shop at the Torrington Towers, where she resided for 27 years. A very giving person, she most enjoyed the times that she spent with her family and friends. She had two very special friends Pauline Field and Carol Steneford and was very close to her niece Maureen Sulkazi.
Mildred leaves two daughters, Judi Palladino and her husband Dan of Torrington, Debbie Fratta and her husband Bob of Harwinton, a son-in-law Richard Blass of Wisconsin: six grandchildren, Lisa (Dwayne) Hunt of Wisconsin, Pete Fratta of Middletown, Amy Fratta of Bristol, Danny Palladino, of Torrington, Kevin (Christine) Palladino of Harwinton, Laura (Rob) Palladino- Wilson of Torrington; four great grandchildren, Andrew (Rissa) Hunt, Bailey (Ben) Wery, Lissy Hunt, all of Wisconsin, Jason Wilson-Fratta of Harwinton, and two great great grandsons Marcus Palladino and Rowan Wery. She was preceded in death by a son, William Skutt Jr., a daughter, Patricia Blass, and former husband William Skutt Sr.
Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning, November 8, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
