Matthew J. Antoniazzi

Matthew J. Antoniazzi, 31, of Torrington, CT, passed away Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Hartford Hospital.  Though his passing was unexpected, he will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him, and he continues to give life through his gifts of organ donation.

Matt was born July 13, 1985, in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, son of David and Mary Ann (Spencer) Antoniazzi of Parkland, FL and of Winsted, CT.  A graduate of Wamogo High School, Class of 2004, he was employed by Rivco Construction as a Mechanic.

A kind, generous and fun loving person, Matt absolutely loved to boat on Highland Lake in the summer and snow ski in the winter with his family in Vail, Colorado, along with the thrill seeking of snowmobiling, and driving off-road.  He was a master chef on the grill, and looked forward to spending time with and cooking for his family and many friends.  He was a proud member of the Drakeville Volunteer Fire Department.

In addition to his devoted parents, he is survived by the love of his life, Amanda Conforti; his best friend and sister, Gina Antoniazzi; his daughter, Abigail Ann Antoniazzi who was the absolute apple of her daddy’s eye, all of Torrington, as well as several aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and many friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 27, 2016, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington with The Rev. Jeffrey V. Romans officiating.  Burial will be private.  Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 26, 2016, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
