Mary V. (Brennan) Torlai

December 12, 1931 — August 18, 2014

Mary V. (Brennan) Torlai, 82, of Torrington, CT, passed away Monday, August 18, 2014, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  She was the beloved wife of Joseph Torlai and of the late Hartman Brower.

Mary was born December 12, 1931, in Gloucester, MA, daughter of the late Edwin and Mabel (Johnson) Brennan.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons and their spouses, Mark Brower of Worcester, MA, Thomas Brower of Charlotte, NC, Robert Brower of Gardener, MA; one daughter, Doreen Jamieson and spouse of Homosassa, FL; two step-sons, James Torlai of Torrington, David Torlai and spouse of Torrington;  two step daughters, Mary Rae of Naugatuck, Debra Torlai of Torrington; two brothers, Robert Brennan of  Gloucester, MA, Donald Brennan of Northboro, MA; two sisters, Diane Lane of Peabody, MA, Judith McDougal of Gloucester, MA; nine grandchildren, four step grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one step great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 20, 2014, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, August 21, 2014, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m.   Burial will be held on Friday, August 22, 2014, at 1:00 p.m. at the Howard Street Cemetery in Northborough, MA.
