Mary J. (DeSanti) Starzyk, 85, passed away on May 24, 2014 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. She was born in Torrington on January 1, 1929 to the late Andrew and Grace (Sterling) DeSanti. She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon Starzyk.
A loving mother and grandmother, she is survived by her children; Alan Starzyk, Ronald Starzyk and his wife Cheryl, Brian Starzyk and his wife Amy-Lyn as well as her grandchildren; Jason Barth, Peter Starzyk
Jason Starzyk, Chad Starzyk, and great grandson, Daniel Starzyk. She is also survived by her brothers; Angelo DeSanti of Winsted, Clarence DeSanti of Torrington, and Raymond DeSanti of Winsted, her sisters; Bertha Olszanski, Ruby Rhoades and Clara Haburey all of Winsted. She was predeceased by her son, Peter L. Starzyk, and her brother, Russell DeSanti.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014, at 12:30 p.m. at Forest View Cemetery, Rowley St. Winsted. Calling hours will be held prior to the service at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St. Torrington, CT from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.
