Mary C. (Bettua) Bruni, 95, of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Angelo Bruni who predeceased her on April 3, 2005.
Mary was born June 16, 1920, in Bristol, CT, daughter of the late John and Concetta Bettua. She was employed by Sears in the Sales Department until her retirement.
She is survived by two sons, Thomas Bruni and his wife Darlene of Bristol, David Angelo Bruni, Sr. of Torrington; one brother, Vito Bettua of Davie, FL; two sisters, Ann McCooney and Jenny Sileo both of Bristol; six grandchildren, BriAnne Newman, Gabrielle Smith, Kalie Souza, Marissa Hamilton, Kristen Conway, David Bruni, Jr.; eight great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 8, 2016, with the cortege leaving at 9:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.
