Mark A. Basso

Mark A. Basso, 56, of Torrington, CT, died unexpectedly on March 25, 2019, at his residence.  He was the beloved son of Dora (Cattero) Basso of Torrington, and of the late Anthony J. “Tony” Basso.

Mark was born August 6, 1962, in Torrington, CT.  An accomplished organist, he began playing for Masses at St. Peter Church at the age of 10, and played for many years at various events and churches.  He was a graduate of UCONN, and of Goodwin College.  A compassionate and caring person, he was furthering his nursing studies and would help anyone in need.  Mark enjoyed boating and spending time with his family.

In addition to his mother Dora, he is survived by one brother, Anthony Basso II and his wife Amy of Wolcott, CT; one sister, Doreen Brenner and her boyfriend Jessie DeLisle of Torrington; one nephew Matthew Brenner, as well as many friends.  In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brother-in-law David Brenner.
