Mario J. Persechino

Mario J. Persechino, 86, of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital. He was the husband of the late Dorothy V. (Badjar) Persechino.
Mario was born May 9, 1928, in Torrington, CT, son of the late Francesco and Francesca (DiCicco) Persechino. He was employed by Mencuccini’s Grocery Store until his retirement.
He is survived by two sons, Michael Persechino, Marc Persechino and his wife Susan, all of Torrington; one sister, Susan Donato of Litchfield; two grandsons, Jason and Aaron, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul, Jerry and Albert.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 26, 2014, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday morning from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a .m. at Cook Funeral Home.
