Marie Zordan

Marie Zordan, 86, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.

Marie was born May 31, 1938, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Eugenio and Erminia (Bollini) Zordan. She was employed by Charlotte Hungerford Hospital with the Human Resource Department for 45 years until her retirement. In addition to her work at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital, Marie also maintained the books for the family business, Zordan & Sons, Wall & Ceiling Contractors for 22 years.

 Marie enjoyed traveling, especially the month she spent in Italy with her mother after graduation and her time at her condo in Ft. Pierce, FL. She also treasured summer trips to Cape Cod and Rhode Island. Marie filled her spare time with golfing and tending to her many gardens. Marie was honored by the City of Torrington for her annual front door display at Christmastime. After her retirement, Marie volunteered her time assisting in the office at the Torrington Elks Lodge where she was a member. But most of all, Marie enjoyed her time with her close friends and family, especially her nephews, nieces and great nieces.

 Marie is survived by her sister-in-law, Susan M. Zordan of Torrington, CT, nephew Eugene J. Zordan of Burlington, nephew Michael Zordan and his wife Susan J. Zordan of New Hartford and great nieces Mikayla Zordan of Kennebunk, ME and Madelyn Zordan of New Hartford, CT. She was predeceased by her brother Eugene F. Zordan and niece Marion Paziak Zordan.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, December 14, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday morning, from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
