Margaret (Sileo) Gardinello

Margaret (Sileo) Gardinello passed away peacefully December 13, 2016, after a brief illness.

Margaret was born in Dunmore, PA. to the late James and Lucille Coviello Sileo. She moved  to Torrington as a young adult where she met and married her beloved husband Jacob. Margaret and Jacob were married for 67 years before his death in 2010. Margaret was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Leonard Sileo and sisters, Beatrice Del Vecchio and Catherine Castello.

Margaret was employed by Anaconda Brass Co. in Waterbury until 1980 and retired from the Torrington School System in 1990. She will be remembered as an amazing and incredibly loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and sister. She was a lifelong member of St. Peter Church in Torrington. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends.

Margaret is survived by her son, Michael and wife Lorraine of Torrington, CT; daughter, Joyce Finnen and her husband Michael of Jacksonville, FL; grandchildren, Christopher Dewey of Jacksonville, FL, Mathew Dewey of Tampa, FL, Ashley Incillo of Winsted, CT, Ryan Dewey of Tacoma, WA, Nicholas Dewey of Charleston, NC, Tabitha Thearle of Stonington, CT, Lorraine Crossley of Torrington, CT; seven great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family is deeply grateful for the loving care that Margaret received from the staff at Litchfield Woods and special friend Ruth Roden.

A private funeral service and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
