Mafalda (Nardi) Galli, 97, of Torrington, CT, passed away Thursday, June 11, 2015, in Torrington. She was preceded in death by her husband, Nello Galli, a son Robert E. Galli, and a daughter, Geraldine Loose.
Mafalda was born February 10, 1918, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Angelo and Maria (Orlandi) Nardi. She was employed by Worth’s Department Store as a Sales Clerk until her retirement. She was a member of the St. Anne’s Society and a communicant of St. Peter Church.
She is survived by a daughter-in-law Claire Galli; a son-in-law Roger Loose; three grandchildren, Jason P. Galli, Karsten Loose, Barrett Loose; three great grandchildren, Peyton Galli, Reid Robert Galli, Shea Galli, one niece and one nephew.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 15, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington, CT 06790. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
