Lynn “LW” J. Woodilla, 80, of Torrington, CT, peacefully passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.
LW was born August 5, 1944, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Frederick and Clarice (Ryan) Woodilla. He was employed by The Torrington Company as a Senior CNC Machine Programmer until his retirement. He enjoyed everything “outdoors,” hiking, fishing, golfing, and tennis. His passion included traveling around the world, watching National Geographic programs and watching FOX News.
He is survived by his step-mother, Claire Woodilla of High Point, NC; his cherished life partner, Judith (Conforti) Romaniello of Torrington; two sons, Scott Woodilla (Amy) of Harwinton, CT, Russell Woodilla of Torrington, CT; one step-son Scott Romaniello (Tracie) of Winsted, CT; two step daughters, Barbara Dandeneau (Mark) of Loris, SC, Lynn-Marie Clayton of Torrington, CT; a brother Marvin Woodilla of New Hampshire; one step-brother Jeffrey Fitzpatrick; one step-sister, Kathleen Morgan (Marshall) of High Point, NC. He will be missed by step grandson Ryan Clayton (Sarah), nieces and nephews and his many friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter Denise Woodilla and one sister, Jane Woodilla.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home. 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT. Relatives and friends may call on April 5th, from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery
