Louise D. (Deldo) Bazzolo

Louise D.  (Deldo) Bazzolo was born on October 4, 1924 in Winsted, CT, the daughter of the late Luigi and Gemma (Moos) Deldo.  She was the wife of the late Renzo (Buzz) Bazzolo. She moved to Torrington at a young age and was a lifelong resident.

She was a talented seamstress and a devoted mother and grandmother. She retired from SNET (Ma-Bell), a job that she started before WWII.

Louise had three children; Mary Lou Bazzolo, Frances (Michael) Louchen, and Raymond Bazzolo. She also had three granddaughters whom she adored; Rachael Louchen (Eric), Kyrsten Louchen and Morgan Louchen as well as three grandsons; Alex John Bazzolo, Dominic Renzo Bazzolo, and Michael Joseph Louchen.

Louise was reunited with some of the most wonderful people on May 16, 2015; her husband and war hero, Renzo, her brother and war hero, John, and his wife, Ann, sister Lenora, brother and war hero, Louis (Bud), and his wife Genevieve, sister, Elise, brother and war hero, Arthur, and his wife Gale, brother –in-law and war hero, Fred, and brother-in-law, Elmer.

Louise’s children would like to thank the wonderful people on the fifth floor of Charlotte Hungerford Hospital and Litchfield Hills VNA Hospice Care.

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 20, 2015, at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St. Torrington, CT.  Calling hours will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. prior to the service. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Donations in Louise’s name may be made to V.N. S., 65 Commercial Blvd., Torrington, CT 06790.
