Lorraine Maryanne (Albino) Gardinello, age 74, of Torrington CT, wife of Michael Gardinello, entered peaceful rest at UConn John Dempsey Hospital on February 8, 2024.
Lorraine was born in Waterbury CT on January 25, 1950, to the late Nicholas and Gertrude (Falk) Albino Jr. She graduated from Crosby High School and received an associate degree from Mattatuck Community College. She began her career working at the Waterbury Republican-American in the accounting department and then moved to Ducci Electrical Contractors in Torrington, where she worked in accounts payable for over 30 years, until retiring in 2017. After retirement, Lorraine volunteered as an usher at the Warner Theatre in Torrington and was a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
Lorraine was a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, and Gigi. She was one of the most kind, giving and loving people to bless our lives; she will be greatly missed. She enjoyed working out, crocheting, baking, buying way too many hand towels for her daughters and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great granddaughter.
In addition to her husband, she leaves behind three loving daughters, Lorraine Crossley of Winsted, Tabitha Hitchcock of Stonington and Ashley Incillo and her husband Joseph of Torrington; two grandchildren Katie and Noah; and great granddaughter Alivia. She is also survived by her two sisters, Cynthia Len and her husband Richard of Wallingford, and Sheila Zuba and her husband Edward of Cumberland RI; brother Nicholas Albino III of Rindge, NH; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held. In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Lorraine’s name to the American Cancer Society
