Linda (Field) Mueller

Linda (Field) Mueller, 74, passed away on Sunday, January 8, 2023, at the Hospital of Central Connecticut in New Britain, CT. She was a long time resident of Torrington, CT.

Linda was born in Herkimer, NY, on March 29, 1948, to William Field and Genevieve (Kess) Field.  She is survived by her husband Frederick Mueller, son Matthew Mueller, daughter Charlene Lee and husband David, son Luke Mueller and fiancée Jill Rathbun, grandchildren Jason Lee and Chloe Lee and a great many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her sister Nancy.

Linda graduated from Torrington High School, Class of 1966, and worked many different places in her long career, some of which included The Hartford, The Torrington Company, Electrolux, Wolcott Hall, Altek, The Register Citizen, BIN Sales & Marketing and Brooker Memorial.

Linda had a love of animals (especially her dogs and giraffes), liked to bird watch, had a truly green thumb and beautiful gardens, and enjoyed trips to Cape Cod and Disney.  She was a wonderful, supportive “gamma” to her grandchildren, and was always willing to lend a hand to her friends and family whenever a need arose. Her kindness was felt by many. Her children will also remember her for always making sure they left her house with lots of leftovers. Her big heart and sense of humor will be surely missed.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT, with a funeral service to be held at noon by Reverend Kevin Smail.
