Lillian O. (Pieriboni) Smitley, 88, of Torrington, CT, passed away Monday, September 8, 2014.
Born December 1, 1925, in Lee, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late Frank and Assunta (Maule) Pieriboni. Lillian was employed by Pheolls Company until her retirement. She was a member of the Veneta Ladies Auxiliary.
Lillian is survived by a daughter Susan Smitley and son-in-law Kip Rogers and a son Mark Smitley, all of Torrington; one grandson, Kippy Rogers, one great granddaughter Emma Lee Rogers, as well as several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 12, 2014, with the cortege leaving at 10:00 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church, 107 East main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2014, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
