Lena (Ciriello) Bruttomesso

Lena Bruttomesso, 96, died on Monday, September 29, 2014, at Litchfield Woods.

She was born in Torrington on February 1, 1918.   She was the daughter of the late Constantino and Carmella (Pace) Ciriello.  Lena was predeceased by her beloved husband of 47 years, Theodore J. Bruttomesso, Sr. and her siblings; Joseph, Nick, and James Ciriello, and Catherine Ciriello, Antoinette Falivene, Matilda Carullo, Millie Ciriello, Marianne Portal and Louise Bruttomesso.    She was educated in Torrington Schools, and enjoyed being present at her son’s activities while he was in elementary and high school.

Lena is survived by her son, Theodore, Jr. and his wife, Linda, of Berlin.  She also leaves behind her two treasured granddaughters, Tricia Bruttomesso of Berlin and Kimberly Bruttomesso of Newington, her sisters-in-law, Enes Lopardo of Torrington and Santina Perezella and her husband, Joe, of Waterbury, and numerous nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, October 2, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Peter Church, 107 East Main St., Torrington.  Relatives and friends are asked to meet directly at Church.  Burial will follow in St. Peter Cemetery.  There are no calling hours.
