Kirk S. Truskauskas, 52, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully on May 10, 2016, at home after a brief and sudden illness.
Kirk was born on February 3, 1964 in Torrington, CT. He was the beloved son of Judy Truskauskas and brother to Eric Truskauskas both of Torrington. He is survived by his mother, brother, and many close friends. Kirk was a graduate of Oliver Wolcott Technical School, class of 1982.
Kirk was a kind and generous man, who always had a smile and good word for everyone he met. He was the owner of Berkshire Computers in Torrington, and was affectionately known everyone’s favorite computer guy. He loved all electronic gadgets, including his latest hobby – flying radio controlled drones. Kirk was an avid fisherman and scuba diver, having made dives in the Caribbean, all along the east coast and his favorite spot in Rhode Island. He was also an enthusiastic fan of NASCAR, MMA and any movie that featured explosions, space and/or action (preferably all three).
Kirk always had time for his friends, and would do almost anything if he knew it would make his friend happy. He had a brilliant mind, and was always thinking 10 steps ahead to solve a problem. His infectious laughter made everything even funnier than it was, and brightened up any situation. He will be greatly missed by everyone he met, and even more so by all those who loved him.
A memorial service will be held at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., in Torrington, on Wednesday, May 18, from 6PM to 8PM. In lieu of flowers, a contribution can be made in memory of Kirk Truskauskas at the Millbrook School through this link: https://millbrook.myschoolapp.com/Page/My-Millbrook/Online-Giving/Online-Giving?siteId=764&ssl=1
