Kenneth P. Corbo, 78, of Litchfield, CT, peacefully passed away February 27, 2025. He was the beloved husband of Mary (Gebrian) Corbo for 58 years.
Ken was born July 19, 1946, in Torrington, CT, the son of the late Canio and Mary (Alicata) Corbo. He served his country with the Unites States Air Force, Honorably Discharged during April of 1972. He received his B.S. in Manufacturing Engineering from Central Connecticut State University. He began his career at the Torrington Company where he was a Chief Metallurgist for 37 years until his retirement in 2001. He went on to form Metallurgical Consulting International where he served as the chief Metallurgist until he retired in 2017. His profession took him all over the world, throughout Asia, Europe, South America, and North America. Ken was a natural master carpenter and a true outdoorsman. He was enjoyed photographing nature and fishing. He loved all animals, especially his beloved dogs.
In addition to his wife Mary, he is survived by one sister, Nancy Hodorski of Stuart, FL, his sister in law Joyce Gebrian, of Torrington, CT, as well as one niece, Lisa Fisher (John) of Malden, New York and three nephews, Philip Pagano (Julie) of Litchfield, CT, Thomas (Parwane) Pagano of Orangeburg, NY and Stephen (Trudy) Pagano of McMinnville, TN along with several grandnieces and grandnephews. He was preceded in death by two sister, Patricia Pagano, and Frances Dobos.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT to St. Anthony of Padua Church (Saint Louis de Montfort Parish), 49 South St., Litchfield, CT 06759 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery, Torrington, CT with full military honors accorded. Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
