Joseph J. Kwashnak

Joseph J. Kwashnak, 87, of Torrington, CT, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 10, 2025, at his residence in Keystone Senior Living. He was the beloved husband of Patti (Woodruff) Kwashnak, who preceded him in death on February 9, 2025. Together, they shared a loving marriage that lasted for more than 60 years.

Born on July 27, 1937, in Edwardsville, PA, Joe was the son of the late Joseph Andrew and Mary Ann (Crawley) Kwashnak. He dedicated his professional life to accounting, working at Lumilite Plastics until his retirement.

Joe is survived by three sons: Andrew T. Kwashnak (Shawna Lee Waterbury-Kwashnak), of Middlebury, CT; Joseph J. Kwashnak, Jr. “JJ” (Russ Minton) of Erie, PA; and Kevin V. Kwashnak of Americus, GA. He also leaves behind three beloved grandchildren: Sarah Elizabeth, Thomas Alexander and Anna Christine. In addition to his parents and his wife, he was preceded in death by a sister, Dolores Kwashnak.

Calling hours will take place on Friday, March 14, 2025, from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, located at 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT. Burial will be private at St. Stevens Cemetery, Plymouth, PA.
