JoAnne Marie Dileo

JoAnne Marie (Moreschi) Dileo, 90, of Winsted, CT, passed away January 23, 2025, at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital with her family by her side. She was the wife of the late Mauro Dileo.

JoAnne was born August 19, 1934, in Torrington, CT, the daughter of the late Amerigo and Anne (Giannattasio) Moreschi. She was employed by the family business Dileo’s Grove, as a waitress, until her retirement. She was a member of St. Peter Holy Rosary Society and of the Council of Catholic Women.

She is survived by her son, Robert Dileo and wife Mary-Jo Novak of Torrington; her daughter, Cheryl Dileo of Winsted; one brother Robert Moreschi of Canton, CT; two sisters, Mildred Shaggy and husband Steve of South Windsor, CT and Carol Barbero-Lewis and husband Larry of North Carolina; one granddaughter, Kristina Dileo of Torrington, CT as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lorraine Bacca.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2025, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish), 99 East Main St., Torrington, CT for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Entombment will follow at the Mausoleum of St. Peter Cemetery, 236 E. Pearl Rd, Torrington ,CT. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
