Jennifer Alice Savanella

Jennifer Alice Savanella 59 passed away Oct. 15, 2022.  Jennifer was born Feb. 9, 1963 in Torrington, Ct. to Ruth and James A. Savanella, formally of Harwinton.  She was the beloved mother of Dominica (Perkins) Craft of Ohio, Grandmother to her daughters Desiree and Zelda.

Jennifer was predeceased by her mother Ruth and a sister Jamie Messenger.  She leaves to mourn her loss her son in-law Tim Craft, brother James Derek Savanella and sister Janis Savanella her husband Rick Leavitt Jr, nieces Regina Dimmock and Christine Savanella, former husband Curtis Perkins, Aunt and Uncle Sylvia and David Schmidt of Arizona, Uncle Tom Barss of New York, Aunt Dale Cuvier, Uncle Ed (Norman) Savanella of Connecticut and many cousins in CT, NY and CA.

Jennifer battled epilepsy with strength, courage and grace all of her life.  She loved all animals, adored her daughter and grandchildren, and was a prolific writer.  She was passionate about everything she pursued and passed on her qualities of great courage and never give up attitude.  In later life her medical condition required more care, she spent several years residing at Fernwood Rest Home in Litchfield CT, leaving many friends there as well.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her name be made to the Connecticut Epilepsy Advocate of Milford Connecticut,

The family would like to thank the staff at Fernwood and Charlotte Hungerford Hospital for the wonderful care she received while in patient.

Services are private and at the convenience of the family.  Cook Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
