Jean (Paulson) Hajducky
January 26, 1935 — November 14, 2017
Jean (Paulson) Hajducky, 82, of Avon, CT, peacefully passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017, at John Dempsey Hospital. She was the wife of the late Andrew J. Hajducky, who preceded her in death on March 3, 2017.
Jean was born January 26, 1935 in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late George and Maude (Dickson) Paulson. An artist, she loved to paint portraits as well as landscapes, and was the owner of Art About in Torrington until her retirement.
She is survived by four children and three grandchildren, Andrew Hajducky and his wife Lynn Ann of Carlisle, MA; Cheryl D’Aquilla and her husband Gary of Suffield, MA, and their son Kevin; Nanci Malahan of Torrington and her sons Ryan and Curt; Scott Hajducky and his wife Michele of Coconut Creek, FL; one brother George Paulson and his wife Charlotte of Bridgeport, CT, as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, A. Keith Hajducky, a son-in-law Thomas Malahan and four sisters, Diane, Gerry, Nancy and Judy.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 17, 2017, at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church, 116 Grove St., Torrington, CT. Burial will follow at St. Francis New Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
