Jean A. (Lesniewski) Cilfone

Jean A. (Lesniewski) Cilfone, 81, of Torrington, CT, passed away Monday, March 31, 2014 at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital.  She was the wife of the late John Cilfone.

Jean was born August 26, 1932, in Torrington, CT, daughter of the late Winslow and Genevieve (Morin) Lesniewski.  She was a Registered Nurse, employed for 40 years at Charlotte Hungerford Hospital until her retirement.  She was a member of the Nurses Auxiliary of CHH, the Torrington Country Club, Eastwood’s Women’s Golf League, the Torrington Elk’s Lodge #372, the Torrington Bridge Club, the Torrington Women’s Club; the Sullivan Senior Center, and a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Church.

She is survived by five sons, Gary Cilfone (Nancy), Jay Cilfone (Pamela), Michael Cilfone (Elizabeth) all of Torrington, James Cilfone (Ann) of Willington, CT, Mark Cilfone (Cynthia) of Falmouth, MA; two daughters, Pamela Nalette (Doug) of Sarasota, FL, Amy Cilfone of Farmington, CT; a daughter-in-law, Kelly Cilfone of Torrington; two sisters, Shirley Sibley of Bristol, Carol Pappalardo of Torrington;  17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by one son, Thomas Cilfone, and her longtime companion, Canio Landucci.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 3, 2014, at 10:30 a.m. at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 160 Main St., Torrington.  Friends are asked to meet directly at St. Francis Church.  Burial will follow in St. Francis New Cemetery.  Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington.
