Jean Ann (Landers) Brown
August 18, 1935 — March 20, 2015
Mrs. Jean Brown, 79, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 20 th , at home surrounded by family.
Jean was born in Acushnet, MA on Aug. 18, 1935. She grew up in New Bedford, MA, graduating from Campbell’s Secretarial School. After meeting the love of her life in California, they eventually settled down in Harwinton where they lived for the last 46 years.
Jean worked at Harwinton Consolidated School and the CHH Credit Union in Torrington for 15 years until her retirement.
Jean leaves her beloved husband, John W. Brown and her son, Ronald Brown, both of Harwinton; her daughter and son-in-law, Andrea and Tim Gilchrist of Canton; daughter and son-in-law, Gloria and Evan Foreman and grandson Liam Foreman of Windsor, and grandson Colin Foreman of Boston.
Calling hours are on Tuesday, March 24 from 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Cook Funeral Home on 82 Litchfield St, Torrington, CT.
