Janet J. (Lusa) Barber

Janet J. (Lusa) Barber, 81, of Torrington, CT, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at her residence.

Janet was born August 31, 1938, in Sharon, CT, daughter of the late Mario and Carla (Germano) Lusa.  Janet was devoted to her family and enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren who held a very special place in her heart.

She is survived by three daughters, Shelli Noreika and her husband Tom, Julie Rooney and her husband Tom, Leslie Barber and her friend Scott, all of Torrington; two sisters, Sharon Andria and Doreen Florio, both of Torrington; five grandchildren, Garrett (Freesia) Waldron, Dustin (Lan) Waldron, Rebecca (Matthew) Dautrich, Victoria Rooney and Thomas Rooney.

Graveside funeral services will be held on Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Francis New Cemetery, 863 South Main Street, Torrington, CT.  Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Cook Funeral Home.   Condolences may be sent to Janet’s family by visiting www.cookfuneralhomect.com
