Jane A. (Raymond) Ciarcia

Jane A. (Raymond) Ciarcia, 93, formerly of Stratford, CT, peacefully passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at Valerie Manor. She was the wife of the late Reverend Albert F. Ciarcia of the Unitarian Universalist Church of Greater Bridgeport.

Jane was born on March 14, 1930, in Queens, NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Maude (Tiffany) Raymond. After attending college at St. Lawrence University in New York, she was employed in the offices of Rodgers and Hammerstein, and Harold Prince in New York City. She was employed by Moynahan Law Firm in Waterbury, as a Legal Secretary until her retirement. Her passion has always been acting in and directing community theater productions in both Stratford (at the UU Church), and Waterbury (at the Public Library).

She is survived by two daughters, Holly McCann (Joseph) of Torrington, CT, Joy Levy (Douglas) of Hartsdale, NY; four grandchildren, Lindsay (Hamilton) Vaerenhall (Ian), Samantha Ciarcia, Tara Levy, and Trevor Levy.

A celebration of Life will be held on January 7, 2024, from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, CT. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Woodstock Playhouse, 103 Mill Hill Road, Woodstock, NY 12498.
