On September 14, 2019, Gloria Cianciolo's physical being left this world, but her spirit and love will live on in the family and friends she leaves behind. Gloria was born in Torrington, CT on January 14, 1930, to John and Mary Cracco. She was married for 52 years to her loving husband, Leo who passed in 2008. Gloria was a lifelong member of St Peter Church and a member of the Holy Rosary Society.
Gloria worked at a variety of jobs, while raising four children. She was also very active in the Sullivan Senior Center. Gloria loved attending the opera with her sisters and hosting Sunday morning coffee for her children, grandchildren, and anyone else who happened to show up. Gloria will always be remembered for her quick wit, and sense of humor, which she embraced even when facing challenges. Gloria was a giver. She cared for others, continually putting her family and friends before herself.
Gloria leaves behind four children: Paul (Lisa) Cianciolo of Harwinton, Thomas (Cheryl) Cianciolo of New Hartford, Corinne (Mark) Kravetz of West Simsbury, and Christopher Cianciolo (Virginia) of Mountainview, MO, along with 13 grandchildren, Daniel, Matthew, Steven, Thomas, Emily, Simon, Eric, Olivia, Sarah, Wilson, Anthony, Derek, Kimberly, and one great-grandchild, Charlotte. Gloria will also be missed by her loving sisters Diana Neshko and Ronnie Santo, her brothers Nivio, John, and Marc Cracco, and numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her brother, Sisto. Immense gratitude to Tiea Kirchner, for her loving care to Gloria.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2019, with the cortege leaving at 10:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, 82 Litchfield St., Torrington, to St. Peter Church (St. John Paul the Great Parish) 99 East Main St., Torrington, for a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Thursday morning from 9:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
