Gladys J. (Schlough) Fingar

Gladys J. (Schlough) Fingar, 96, of Torrington, CT, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at her residence. She was the wife of the late Richard Fingar, and of the late Justus Denison.
Gladys was born August 9, 1919, in Yonkers, NY, daughter of the late Arthur and Viola (Doremus) Schlough. She was employed by Highland Acres with Housekeeping until her retirement.
An avid cat and dog lover, she also enjoyed flower gardening and sewing. A very generous person, who donated to many charities, she will be sadly missed by her friends and her beloved cat, Simon.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, October 24, 2015, leaving at 9:30 a.m. from Cook Funeral Home, to Hillside Cemetery for graveside services at 10:00 a.m. Calling hours will be held on Saturday morning, from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at Cook Funeral Home.
